Welcome to the 5th edition of the Brazilian Nanocellulose Summit!
This biennial event brings together the Brazilian Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D&I) community in colloidal
nanocellulose, encompassing representatives from academia and industry. The 5th edition will take place from August 6 to 8, 2025, at the Lorena School of Engineering, University of São Paulo (USP), in Lorena, São Paulo, Brazil, and is organized by the Laboratory of Applied Bionanotechnology.
We are excited to announce confirmed speakers, including Dr. Keith Gourlay, Director of Technology Development at Performance Biofilaments (Canada), and Prof. Nathalie Lavoine, from the College of Natural Resources at NC State University (USA). Lectures by
key Brazilian colloidal cellulose community representatives will be announced soon, highlighting the latest advancements and innovations in the field.
A key feature of this edition is the Nanocellulose Characterization Workshop, scheduled for August 6. This session will offer
expert-led lectures on advanced characterization techniques, interactive discussions and networking opportunities. This unique experience will foster knowledge exchange and collaboration among participants. Please note that spots for this workshop will be limited.
As in previous editions, the official language of the event is English, and abstracts are welcome for submission and presentation by academic and industrial participants, particularly graduate and undergraduate students.
We encourage you to save the date and share this announcement with your peers. Further program details and registration details will be available soon on the event's official website.
Looking forward to welcoming you in Lorena!
